The championship will be organized under the supervision of the CUS Brescia and CUS Trento by the team of Univela Sailing.
Univela Sailing begins the sports activities in Campione del Garda on the 2nd of August 2012. Immediately highlights the natural and organizational characteristics that make it the hub of national and international water sports activities on the Milan side of Lake Garda. It was chosen by the Italian Sailing Federation as the headquarters of the Federal Sailing Center in Italy: Olympic Preparation Center (CPO) for the Italian team’s athletes in preparation for the Olympic Games and the FIV youth teams.Is the Italian branch of the Andrew Simpson Foundation Water Sports Center, a sailing school recognized by the Royal Yachting Association (the English Sailing Federation.
Since the opening, is organizer and home of the National Championship and the Moth World Championship; then continue with numerous other Championships of other sailing classes. As well as the headquarters of the Federal Sailing Center of the Republic of San Marino and the basis for intensive training of Sailing Teams from all over Europe.
Univela Sailing is characterized as an ideal location to host activities dedicated to sailing at the highest levels. The center covers an area of about 10000 square meters and is built with all the necessary equipment for the training and practice of competitive sailing for Olympic and Paralympic classes. It includes a hostel with 42 rooms, restaurant, and cafeteria. It offers board and lodging for athletes and technicians. The following spaces are available: gym, locker rooms, room for massages and physiotherapy; classrooms for technical lessons; dryer room; boat storage and all the necessary service facilities for training and sports. The particular position of the structure allows those who use Univela Sailing to take full advantage of the optimal wind conditions that characterize Lake Garda for moments of intensive training and organization of regattas.
